Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington after suffering a mechanical problem.
